More than a dozen detainees arrived at Indiana's newly designated federal detention center yesterday, and more than a hundred detainees may be imprisoned there by the end of the week. The Miami Correctional Facility is located in the Grissom Aeroplex. Indiana will spend approximately $16 million dollars to create space for a thousand beds. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will pay the state $291.94 per day for each detainee housed at the facility.
