Westview Superintendent On Administrative Leave
Wednesday, September 3, 2025

(EMMA) – Westview Superintendent Dr. Randy Miller has been placed on administrative leave following his weekend arrest.

In a media release, Westview School Board President Keith Lambright says upon learning of Miller’s arrest, the Board immediately placed Miller on administrative leave. Former Westview Superintendent Dr. Randy Zimmerly has returned and will serve as Interim Superintendent.

The School Board will hold a special Executive Session Thursday evening to discuss Miller’s employment status. While Miller’s arrest is a serious matter of the highest order, Lambright says he is legally entitled to procedural safeguards which the School Board must and will follow. Lambright says the School Board will act promptly in the best interests of the students, staff and community and in a transparent fashion.

After Thursday’s Executive Session, Lambright says the School Board will provide the community an anticipated course of action. Until that time, he says they are unable to offer any additional information. Lambright says the School Board will continue to hold all of their educators to the highest standards of professional conduct.

Miller was arrested Sunday by the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Office on three charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. He was later released.

Miller has been Westview Superintendent since 2018.
