Community Coordinator Joins City Of Angola Team

ANGOLA, IN - Officials with the city of Angola have to announce that Mackenzie Bird has joined the City of Angola as Community Coordinator.

In this new role, Mackenzie will be responsible for developing, organizing, and implementing programs and initiatives that cultivate community engagement through innovation and productive relationship building. She will work with a variety of stakeholders, including local residents, businesses, community groups, non-profit organizations, and government agencies, to identify the needs and priorities of the community and develop strategies to address them.

Mackenzie brings six years of experience as an elementary school teacher. Prior to joining the City of Angola, she worked for Carnival Cruise Line as entertainment staff, Rise Inc. as direct care staff, and in other capacities of education for seven years. Mackenzie was responsible for planning and coordinating events, building relationships, and collaborating with diverse groups to execute a variety of initiatives and events. With her excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong organizational and project management talents, Mackenzie plans to foster a strong, resilient, and connected community.

Mackenzie holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Trine University where she attended after graduating from Angola High School in 2010.
