STURGIS - During Tuesday’s Kick Off Dinner for Sturgis Fest 2022, two individuals received special recognition.
Cathi Abbs and Swick Broadcastings’ Mike Stiles were named the Female and Male Citizens Of The Year. State Senator Kim LaSata and State Representative Steve Carra (car-AH) presented the awards.
Abbs, who recently retired as the Sturgis Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, says giving back to the community is something that was instilled in her at a young age from many different people.
Stiles, who currently serves as the News and Sports Director for Super Hits 99.3 WBET, Thunder Country 105.5 and Fox Sports Radio 99.7 FM and 1230 AM, says it’s not about awards, it’s about getting involved and making a difference in your community.
Abbs and Stiles will be special guests in the Sturgis Fest Electric Night Parade Friday, which starts at dusk.
