(ANGOLA) – Work on two buildings has been approved by the Steuben County Commission.
During their meeting on Monday, the Commissioners voted to approve spending $88,106 for brick work to be done on the Steuben Community Center located at 317 South Wayne Street. They also said Yes to spend $33,773 to repair the brick at the Northeast Indiana Community Corrections building at South Wayne and East Gale Streets.
According to officials, the main problem at both buildings is leaking through the mortar of the walls. Specifically for the Community Corrections building, the issue is on the west wall and also along the north wall.
It was not shared with the County Commission where the issue was at for the Community Center building.
Atlas is the contractor for Steuben County. They told the Commission that due to the nature of the work at both buildings, whey would not be able to start until September.
