Power of the Purse raises record $49,560 for LaGrange County students

(LAGRANGE) - The LaGrange County Chamber of Commerce's annual Power of the Purse fundraiser raised a record $49,560 this year, making it the most successful event in the program's history. Funds raised through Power of the Purse support backpack food programs in LaGrange County public schools. The programs help ensure students have access to food outside of school hours and provide critical support to local children and families. Since its launch in 2010, Power of the Purse has raised more than $325,000 for backpack programs throughout LaGrange County. Chamber officials say the continued growth of the event reflects strong community support and a shared commitment to investing in the well-being of local students. The LaGrange County Chamber of Commerce thanked sponsors, donors, volunteers, and attendees for helping make the 2025 event a success.
