INDIANAPOLIS (WLKI)- Indianapolis Colts cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt has been suspended without pay for the team's first regular-season game after violating the NFL's personal conduct policy.
The suspension was announced by a league official and will keep Taylor-Britt out of Indianapolis' September 13 season opener against the Baltimore Ravens at Lucas Oil Stadium. He remains eligible to practice during training camp and play in all three preseason games. He will be eligible to return for the Colts' following game.
According to the report, the one-game suspension will cost Taylor-Britt $62,500.
The NFL did not provide details about the conduct violation. However, Taylor-Britt was sentenced to five days in a Hamilton County, Ohio, jail in January after pleading guilty to reckless driving and driving without a license stemming from two separate incidents in 2025.
The Colts signed Taylor-Britt to a one-year contract in March as they looked to strengthen their secondary. The move also reunited him with defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo, who coached Taylor-Britt during his time with the Cincinnati Bengals.
Taylor-Britt acknowledged earlier this year that personal issues had affected his performance during the 2025 season. He appeared in eight games, making two starts, before missing the second half of the season with a Lisfranc injury.
During training camp in Westfield, Taylor-Britt has moved up the Colts' depth chart. He has primarily worked as the fourth cornerback behind Sauce Gardner, Charvarius Ward and Justin Walley.
The suspension creates an early setback for Taylor-Britt and the Colts, who will now have to adjust their defensive plans for the season opener.
