(FREMONT) - Clay's Original Family Restaurant has reopened.
The lakeside restaurant has been around since the 1970s, and had closed for a time.
Clay's has now reopened under new owners Will and Justin Mashione, who plan to keep the iconic Clay's menu, with a few new additions.
They are also getting guidance from former owners Jack and Marilyn Baker as they bring the longtime Fremont favorite back.
Clay's will continue serving its traditional Friday fish fry, breakfast bar, hand-crafted pasta and homemade pies.
For opening day, Clay's is serving its famous pot roast.
Clay's is located at 7815 North Old 27 in Fremont.
