(AUBURN) - A New Haven man was injured in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning on Interstate 69 in DeKalb County.
The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened around 3:43 a.m. near the 323 mile marker.
Investigators say 19-year-old Michael Praditya Sutanto was driving a 2009 Honda Fit northbound when he swerved to avoid a deer. The vehicle left the east side of the interstate, entered a drainage ditch and struck a tree.
Sutanto suffered a possible broken collarbone and was taken by ambulance to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne for treatment.
Authorities estimated the vehicle was a total loss.
Assisting at the scene were the Auburn Fire Department, Parkview EMS, Tony's Towing and DeKalb County Central Communications.
