Icy Patch Sends Driver Skidding, Briefly Shuts Down I-69

(DEKALB COUNTY) - Traffic on I-69 northbound came to a standstill Thursday night after a driver towing an RV hit a patch of ice near mile marker 333 in DeKalb County. Indiana State Troopers and DeKalb County Sheriff's Officers responded to the scene. According to reports, the driver's vehicle jack-knifed, slid into the passing lane, and then crossed into the median, crashing into a cable barrier. Northbound lanes were shut down from about 8:20 to 9:10 p.m. while crews cleared the scene. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported.
