(AUBURN) - A DeKalb County man has been sentenced to more than 42 years in prison after pleading guilty in two separate criminal cases.
The Evening Star reports Judge Adam Squiller sentenced Tyler S. Davidson in DeKalb Superior Court I.
In one case, Davidson pleaded guilty to child exploitation, three counts of possession of child pornography, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon.
Davidson received nine years for child exploitation, with six years executed. He also received four years on each of the three possession of child pornography charges and eight years for unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon.
The possession of child pornography sentences will be served at the same time, but consecutive to the child exploitation sentence. Those sentences will then be served consecutive to the firearm sentence, totaling 18 years in that case. Davidson was also ordered to serve three years of probation.
In a separate case, Davidson was sentenced to 16 years for criminal confinement while armed with a deadly weapon, six years for domestic battery by means of a deadly weapon, and two-and-a-half years for strangulation.
Those sentences will be served consecutively and consecutive to the sentence in the first case.
Combined, Davidson was sentenced to a total of 42-and-a-half years in prison.
