(INDIANA) - The Indiana Department of Natural Resources Division of Historic Preservation & Archaeology has announced the winners of its annual Historic Preservation Month photo contest.
The winning photos, along with other entries, will be featured on the DNR's Instagram account throughout May.
Winners in each category include:
Altered:
Cindi Myers of Millersburg (Elkhart County) - Round barn in Nappanee
Black and White:
Kyle Hooker of Sullivan (Sullivan County) - Coal tower in Sullivan
Color:
Carla Hall of Roann (Wabash County) - Hileman Round Barn in Silver Lake
Kids:
George Overpeck of Rockville (Parke County) - St. Joseph Catholic Church in Billie Creek Village
Preservation Month Annual Theme (National Road):
Jennifer Minnis of Paris, Illinois - Service station in Manhattan along U.S. 40
Officials say the contest highlights historic places across Indiana and encourages public engagement with preservation efforts.
