BUTLER, IN - One of the Northeast Corner Conference’s most successful football coaches is stepping down from his position.

Todd Mason has resigned from his position as head football coach of the Eastside Blazers.

Mason has confirmed that he had actually turned in his resignation following Week 2 effective at the end of the season. He reportedly plans to make a public statement on his resignation on Monday.

In his five years leading Eastside Football, the Blazers went 54-18 with five NECC Small Division titles.

Under Mason, the Blazers earned sectional championships in 2019 and 2021 and a regional crown in 2021.

Mason’s winning percentage at Eastside of .750, which is the highest in program history as the program has taken the next step from an NECC contender to being a consistent thorn in the side of Class 2A squads in the north.
