LANSING, MI - In the 30th year of Fort Wayne's franchise, the TinCaps matched a club record for hits in a game as they annihilated the Lansing Lugnuts (Oakland A's affiliate), 14-0, on Sunday afternoon at Jackson Field.
The 'Caps recorded 22 hits, matching a record that was previously set in 1998.
With the victory, the TinCaps took four of six to win the series.
The TinCaps play again this week on Tuesday, June 21 vs. Great Lakes. The first pitch gets thrown at 7:05 PM.
