BRUSHY PRAIRIE, IN - It was a big Conference win for the Prairie Heights Lady Panthers Saturday night as both the JV and Varsity took control, grabbing wins over the Fremont Eagles.

In the JV contest, the Panthers held the Eagles to zero points until the first quarter buzzer. The Prairie Heights JV squad carried the lead until the end, winning 44-18.

For Heights, sophomore Sarah Wiley led the JV team in scoring with a game-high 12 points.

Sophomore Hallie Shrewsburg led Fremont’s JV with 8 points.

The Varsity Lady Panthers had a very competitive run to beat Fremont 66-44.

Senior Alayna Boots led the Panthers with 20 points and six rebounds, while junior Trevyn Terry had with 18 points and five rebounds. Senior Kennedy Kugler finished with a double-double, recording 13 points and 13 rebounds for the game.

Fremont closes the regular season Tuesday when they host Garrett for senior night, while Prairie Heights has two games left, but will also host its senior night Tuesday against Concord.

For the Varsity Panthers, Saturday’s win marks the first time in over 20 years where Prairie Heights has beat all of the LaGrange County (Lakeland and Westview) and Steuben County (Angola and Fremont) schools in the same season.
