ANGOLA – The Metropolitan School District of Steuben County has decided to open its own virtual school.

Officials at MSD say what’s being called Angola Digital Academy will open up starting with the 2023-24 school year.

Since the pandemic, district leaders have observed the growing number of students opting for online learning. Once many local students had exposure to online learning experiences, districts like the MSD Of Steuben County lost students who transferred to online schools.

The purpose of establishing Angola’s own digital school is to bring students back and to keep them monitored under the umbrella of the MSD educational community.
