Outside of a few sprinkles early this morning, the next 24 to 36 hours should be dry.

The National Weather Service says a series of weak fronts will move through the area today with main impacts being shifting winds and steady falling temperatures this afternoon.

Temperatures will drop back below freezing tonight.

Forecasters say a soaking rain is expected Wednesday night, with the partially frozen ground possibly leading to some ponding or minor flooding in some areas.

Windy conditions are expected late Thursday morning into the afternoon with gusts of 45 mph or more looking fairly likely for many areas.
