Coldwater Purchases 37 Transformers

COLDWATER – The Coldwater Board of Public Utilities purchased 37 transformers in order to fill the need for local power.

Coldwater’s Electric Superintendent John Springhall explained with supply chain shortages throughout the nation new construction builds are being impacted.

Springhall noted the apartments on Willowbrook Lane waited a year for the arrival of their transformers.

Transformers previously took around 10 weeks to arrive but are now taking 50-60 weeks or longer.

The purchase which cost the Coldwater Board of Utilities $109,249 was made to ensure all local needs were met in any future projects.
