Steuben County SWCD 2022 Conservation Camp
Tuesday, July 12, 2022

The Steuben County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) has announced their Conservation Camp will take place on July 12 at Pokagon State Park. This year’s theme is Terrific Trees! The camp costs $10 per campers ages 8 - 14 and runs from 9:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. with lunch provided. Drop off is at the Pokagon Nature Center, with afternoon pickup at the CCC Shelter.
The day is filled with a presentation by Pokagon interpretive naturalists, a nature hike, lunch, and afternoon craft and games. This camp is one of three being offered in Northeast Indiana this summer.

LaGrange County’s has been scheduled for June 23rd and Whitley County’s has been scheduled for August 2nd.

New this year, the Steuben County SWCD is offering a $5.00 scholarship for Steuben County 8 - 14 year-old youth that would like to attend the July 12th or any of the NE Indiana Conservation camps. This means the total cost for each Steuben County camper will only be $5.00/camp!
Space is limited.
The deadline to register is June 27.

Please contact the Steuben County SWCD office for more information on any of the camps at (260) 665-3211, ext. 3. You can also visit the Steuben County SWCD website at www.steubenswcd.org for more details.
