(STEUBEN COUNTY) - If you're looking for festive fun this December weekend, the Steuben County Tourism Bureau has you covered--highlighting a full lineup of holiday events happening across the county.

On Saturday, December 13, families can head to the Angola Area Chamber of Commerce's Winter Wonderland from noon to 3 p.m. at the YMCA of Steuben County. The free event features bounce houses, cookie decorating, hot chocolate, and visits from Buddy the Elf, the Grinch, Anna, Elsa, and Santa, who arrives at 1:30 p.m.

Santa will also be busy spreading cheer with Breakfast with Santa Saturday at both the Potawatomi Inn and The Mill District, then returning Sunday for brunch at The 6 on James. Reservations and details are available through each venue.

In Fremont, kids can enjoy a holiday story and meet a real reindeer Saturday from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Vistula Park Trail, thanks to the Fremont Public Library. Later that afternoon, cyclists are invited to decorate their bikes and join the Holiday Light Ride, starting at 4 p.m. at Monument Plaza in Angola and ending at the YMCA. Cookies and hot chocolate will be waiting afterward at Healthies on the public square.

Classical music lovers can still catch Handel's Messiah Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Trine University's T. Furth Center, with a limited number of tickets remaining.

The Steuben County Tourism Bureau also reminds visitors that drive-through light displays continue all weekend at the Steuben County 4-H Park -- and at Camp Chief Little Turtle in Pleasant Lake. And for thrill-seekers, Indiana's only refrigerated toboggan run is open at Pokagon State Park, offering high-speed rides both Saturday and Sunday.
