(INDIANAPOLIS) - New state data shows unemployment rates across northeast Indiana counties in February, with all four coming in below the national average.
According to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, LaGrange County had the lowest rate at 3.3 percent, followed by Steuben County at 3.9 percent, Noble County at 4.0 percent, and DeKalb County the highest at 4.1 percent.
The U.S. unemployment rate for February was 4.4 percent.
Officials note the county data is not seasonally adjusted, meaning comparisons are most accurate when measured against the same month in previous years. Factors like weather, holidays, and school schedules can influence the numbers.
