(ANGOLA) - Key voter registration deadlines are quickly approaching across Indiana, Ohio and Michigan ahead of the May 5 primary election.
For Indiana and Ohio, the deadline to register is Monday, April 6.
Indiana voters can register online, by mail if postmarked by April 6, or in person by that date.
Ohio voters must also complete registration by April 6 to be eligible for the primary.
Michigan's deadline works a little differently. Voters there can register or update their information online or by mail through April 20.
After that, Michigan residents can still register in person at their local city or township clerk's office all the way through Election Day on May 5, as long as they bring the required documentation.
The May 5 primary in all three states will decide party nominees for a range of federal, state and local races.
Voters are encouraged to check their registration status, polling locations and sample ballots through their state or local election office websites.
