(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indiana officials have launched a new system designed to make it easier for military members and overseas residents to participate in elections.

The state says the secure web-based platform allows eligible voters to register, request absentee ballots, receive and return those ballots, track their status, and communicate with county election offices.

The system complies with the federal Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act and includes accessibility features for voters with print disabilities under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

State officials say the platform provides electronic ballot delivery for qualified military and overseas voters, along with those with print disabilities, while maintaining existing election security protocols.

A new website, indianawantsyou.com, has been set up as a central hub for eligible voters to access tools and information. Additional election resources are also available through Indianavoters.com.

The system is also intended to streamline the process for local election offices administering absentee voting for those groups.
