(OTTAWA COUNTY, OHIO) - A New York truck driver was killed Sunday in a chain-reaction crash involving three semi-trucks on the Ohio Turnpike.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says 29-year-old Ibodulloev Mukhammadali of Brooklyn failed to stop in halted traffic on Interstate 80/90 and crashed into a stopped tractor-trailer.
The impact pushed that truck into another semi.
Mukhammadali was pronounced dead at the scene. A 65-year-old Florida driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital. A third driver from Michigan was not seriously hurt.
The crash closed all but one eastbound lane of the turnpike for an extended period. The crash remains under investigation.
