(FORT WAYNE) - A child has died following a two-vehicle crash Thursday night on Fort Wayne's southeast side.
Police were called just before 10 p.m. to the intersection of South Anthony Boulevard and Gardendale Avenue. Investigators say two vehicles traveling in opposite directions on Anthony collided when one attempted to turn onto Gardendale.
Each vehicle had two occupants. Medics transported all four people to a local hospital with injuries. The child was initially listed in life-threatening condition and later died.
The Fort Wayne Police Department's Fatal Accident Crash Team is investigating and working to reconstruct the crash to determine contributing factors. The FWPD Air Support Unit and the Allen County Coroner's Office are assisting with the investigation.
