(AVILLA) – A traffic stop led to an individual being arrested on multiple charges.
At 6:40 PM Tuesday, Noble County Dispatch issued an alert for a possible reckless and intoxicated driver.
An Indiana State Police Trooper spotted the possible suspect vehicle on State Road 3 near Avilla and pulled it over. After a brief investigation it appeared that the driver was intoxicated and a large quantity of suspected methamphetamine and fentanyl was located in the vehicle.
The driver, 41 year old Kyle Baker of Avilla was arrested and booked into the Noble County Jail on felony charges of Dealing Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Dealing Schedule I, II or II Substance, along with a misdemeanor charge of Operating with Controlled Substance in Body.
Assisting at the scene were the Kendallville and Ligonier Police Departments.
