(LAGRANGE) – The LaGrange County Commission has approved bid recommendations for four road projects to be done in 2025.
Monday morning County Highway Engineer Tharon Morgan presented the bids to be awarded for the four resurfacing projects. The bids were opened during the December 16 County Commission meeting, and then reviewed.
Morgan recommended Niblock Excavating for the Segment #1 and Segment #2 projects. LINKC.
Segment #1 is County Road 1000 West from State Road 120 to the State Line. Segment #2 is County Road 850 West from 250 North to 450 North.
Morgan then presents the recommendations for Segment #3 and Segment #4. LINKD.
Segment #3 will be County Road 400 South from 500 East to 1175 East, while Segment #4 is County Road 1100 East from 425 South to 750 South.
All total, seven companies submitted bids on the four segments. Some of the companies only bid on certain segments, while some bid on all four.
Morgan says the projects all came in under budget. They were $1.6 million under the engineer estimates.
The three companies have been given their conditional notice of award and will get the rest of their documentations in the next 60 days.
